National Print Museum of Ireland
The National Print Museum of Ireland is a unique, educational museum in Dublin. Its collection consists of fully-operational letterpress printing equipment, displayed and organised like a traditional 1960s print-shop. A major challenge for the museum was preserving the knowledge and skills of the retired printers and compositors who operate the machinery for showcases.
I was very happy to help with the solution to this problem. A number of short films were created of the printers in action, these films were to be displayed on tablets throughout the museum. I was tasked with the challenge to create simple, user friendly interfaces for these tablets which would be used by thousands of visitors both young and old.
